Welcome to Cantore di Castelforte USA, the exclusive importer in the U.S. for the wines and Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the Marquis Giovanni Cantore di Castelforte.
Our collection includes the finest Primitivo's of Italy including the oak held Primitivo di Manduria D.O.C., Primitivo Donna Maria, Primitivo Centonze and Primitivo Passito. These wines differ in the grape harvesting period and fermentation techniques which lends to the interesting variation of aroma's and flavors of each Primitivo. The other varietals we carry are Aglianico, Negroamaro, Cabarnet Sauvignon, Rosato, Chardonnay, Rosso Puglia, Salice Salentino and Bianco. Our wines are grown on four farms (Centonze, Tre Torri, Cicimaia and Mazzetta) spread out over 1,500 acres thruout the beautiful rolling hills of Salento located in the 'heel of the boot' region of Puglia. After picking, the grapes are processed and stored at our wine cellar located in Manduria in the Province of Taranto. The wines Primitivo di Manduria D.O.C. and the Primitivo (del Salento) Donna Maria have received multiple awards at the world renown VINITALY (Verona) and London International Wine & Spirits competitions. |
